ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence:

  • CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology) — ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association); the gold standard credential for clinical SLPs; requires an ASHA-accredited master's degree in speech-language pathology + 400 clinical hours in graduate school + passing the Praxis examination in speech-language pathology + 36 weeks of full-time clinical fellowship (CF) after graduation + ASHA membership; maintained through ASHA's continuing education certification maintenance
