5 Sticker Design Mistakes to Avoid
#stickers#design#prepress
Stickers look simple, but a few common mistakes lead to disappointing prints. Avoid these five.
1. Forgetting the bleed
Always extend your background 3mm past the cut line. Without bleed, you'll get thin white slivers along the edges.
2. Text too close to the edge
Keep important text inside the safe zone — at least 3mm from the cut. Die-cutting has a small tolerance.
3. Low-resolution artwork
Upload artwork at 300 DPI at final size. A logo that looks crisp on screen can pixelate when printed.
4. Ignoring the cut shape
Die-cut, kiss-cut, and circle cuts each frame your design differently. Design with the final shape in mind.
5. Skipping a proof
Always review the digital proof. It's the cheapest insurance against a costly reprint.
