Picking a paper stock is the single biggest decision for how your business card feels in someone's hand. Here's how to choose.

Weight matters first

Stock weight is measured in gsm (grams per square meter). For premium cards we recommend 400gsm or higher — anything lighter feels flimsy.

• 300gsm — standard, everyday cards
• 400gsm — premium, the sweet spot
• 600gsm — ultra-thick, luxury feel

Finish changes everything

A soft-touch matte laminate gives a velvety surface that resists fingerprints. Glossy finishes make colors pop but show smudges.

Pro tip: pair a matte finish with spot-UV on your logo for a tactile contrast that people can't stop touching.
